The brood mares

Our aim: To produce top quality sports horses with sound confirmation and good temperament.

The breeding stock: The brood mares are either proven competition / race horses or have exemplary pedigrees. All the horses have good conformation, inherent soundness and excellent temperaments.

Welton Romance
  • 1985 Bay mare by Welton Louis out of Molly Malone 
  • Open European Champion 1995-1997
  • The only mare to have won a major eventing championship
  • Gained 631 BHTA points
  • Highest graded mare to date in the Top Stud Book of Sports Horse of GB

Hi Gill
  • 1983 Bay mare by The Black Knight out of Turkish Delight
  • Grade A showjumper and won her only BHTA novice event entered. Field masters' horse for five years
  • Registered in top stud book of Sport Horse of GB
  • Produced a filly foal by Accondy in April 2000 - foal sold to eventing home
  • In foal to Accondy - due to foal summer 2003

Pearly White
  • 1989 Bay mare by Petong out of White Pet by Mummys Pet
  • Successful racing career and BHTA novice evented
  • Registered in top stud book of Sport Horse of GB
  • Produced a colt foal by Riva Marquee in 1999 - In training in 2003
  • Produced a filly foal to  Zaffaran (USA) 
  • In foal to Accondy - due to foal 19 March 2003

Not Tonite Darling
  • 1994 Bay mare by McGinty out of Put Her By by Harbour Prince - NZ bred
  • McGinty won 14 races out of 22 starts from 880 metres to 2400 metres with earnings in excess of NZ$580,000
  • In foal to Accondy - due to foal 30 March 2003

The Stallions:

 

Accondy
  • 1992 Grey Thoroughbred by Sadlers Wells (USA) out of As You Desire Me by Kalamoun
  • The first and only TB stallion in Great Britain approved and licensed by the British Hanoverian Society
  • Sadlers Wells was Champion three year old miler in France and winner of many Group One races. He is the sire of winners earning £26,000,000 worldwide
  • Leased for 2001 to the Irish Horse Board at Irish Sport Horse Development, Necarne, Northern Ireland - approved by Irish Sport Board

Zaffaran
  • 1985 Bay Thoroughbred by Assert out of Sweet Alliance (USA) by Sir Ivor
  • Winner of 4 flat races,  £51,524, 10-14f., at 3 years - including the March Stakes, Goodwood, 2nd Yorkshire Cup, 3rd Henry II Stakes
  • Three parts brother to Shereef Dancer
  • Notable winners among his offspring to date include Beau and Looks Like Trouble
  • Unfortunately Zaffarn died in 2002
